Michel Dufresne, P.Eng., Chief Executive Officer of Roy Consultants, regrets to inform the business community of the death of the company’s founder, Mr. Jean-Jacques Roy. Mr. Roy died suddenly, but peacefully in his sleep at the age of 70 on June 25th.
Mr. Roy will always be present in our minds; he left many opportunities for the development of young professionals in his beloved Acadia by founding the consulting engineering firm, Roy Consultants.
From his company’s beginnings in 1984, he saw the potential in northern regions for an engineering firm that would offer professional services in French. That vision turned into a solid organization, which today strives throughout New Brunswick with more than 80 employees. True to the succession plan he established, the company remains 100% owned by its employees.
Mr. Jean-Jacques Roy served on many boards of directors, particularly as an ambassador with the Board of Governors of the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick, where he was a great unifier and leader. He will never be forgotten.
